Trekking on Kawah Ijen

- Routes to Gilimanuk takes approximately 3 hours drive. Crossing will be done using passenger ship (ferry) to the island of East Java (Ketapang). It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to arrive at the port of Ketapang, Banyuwangi. One hour and half driving longer needed to reach the start point of trekking.
- It takes about 1,5 hour to trek the 3 kilometers to the top.
On the edge of the crater, you can see the famous “blue fires”. You can also take a closer look to the Ijen crater dropped following sulphur carrier workers. Then, during the sunrise from the top, you can enjoy a panorama above the crater which looks very beautiful. This crater is a large lake with a bluish green mist and sulphur fumes are very fascinating. It seems so unreal !
- After enjoying the blue fires and charm of Ijen crater, you go back to the starting point to go back to Bali.
